Katie Iandoli Heads to Michigan State University

MSUSpartans_LogoCongratulations to Senior 19U Captain, Katie Iandoli, on her recent acceptance into Michigan State University (MSU). After considering all of her options, Katie decided to join her brother at MSU and continue playing hockey for the Spartans. The MSU Women’s hockey program has both a Division 1 team and a Division 2 team that competes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). Katie is an exceptionally hardworking player that never takes a shift off and continuously leads by example. The MSU Women’s Hockey Club is gaining an indispensable player as Katie joins their ranks.

This season Katie was nominated not only by the coaching staff to lead the 19U Sabres but also by her fellow peers. She was instrumental in facilitating team activities both on and off the ice and acting as a liaison between the players and the coaches. Katie led her team with her hard work and positive attitude to a Nationals Quarterfinal appearance, a State Championship, a Heartland League Championship, a Detroit Motown Cup Championship, a South Bend Indiana Tournament 2nd place, and a Nike-Bauer Semi-Final appearance. The 19U coaching staff is very proud of Katie’s accomplishments both on and off the ice and next year’s captain will have big shoes to fill! Congratulations to the Iandoli Family!
